Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), a former Marine, recently highlighted the need for the government to be “transparent” about the existence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show last week, Gallagher mentioned multiple possibilities regarding the identity of UFOs, including UFOs being piloted by humans using time-traveling technology.

The congressman also suggested that UFOs “could actually be an ancient civilization that’s just been hiding here and is suddenly showing itself.”

Gallagher suggested that the government currently has the “opportunity” to be “transparent” with the American people regarding the existence and identity of UFOs.

“If we have information that disconfirms the extraterrestrial hypothesis, or all these other ones, at least it shows the government doing something competent and being forward-leaning by declassifying information to the public,” he said.

While Gallagher offered multiple explanations regarding the identity of UFOs, he said he is “most interested” in whether or not UFOs are “adversary technology,” especially from China.

In addition to Gallagher’s comments, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) recently described the military’s alleged UFO crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program as “in essence, some sort of an internal military complex that’s their own government and is accountable to no one,” based on conversations he has had with military officials and intelligence whistleblowers as the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the Daily Mail reported.

Former decorated combat officer in Afghanistan David Charles Grusch, who also previously served on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force as the reconnaissance office’s representative, claims that he recently gave Congress classified information regarding U.S. government programs that have possession of UFOs that are of “non-human origin.”

According to Fox News, Grusch claims to have filed a whistleblower complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) and Congress on classified information that he says is proof the U.S. government and its allies have recovered intact vehicles “of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures.”

“We’re definitely not alone,” he said. “The data points, quite empirically, that we’re not alone.”
