Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) recently criticized the “two-tiered system of justice” in the U.S., arguing that President Joe Biden wants former President Donald Trump to be given a “death sentence” in the classified documents case.
The Department of Justice recently indicted Trump on 37 felony charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents.
In a recent “Sunday Morning Futures” appearance with host Maria Bartiromo, Mace blasted the two different standards of justice that she believes are currently used for politicians in the United States. Mace believes the standard of justice applied to Trump is vastly different than the standard applied to Biden, former Vice President Mike Pence and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“Every time the Oversight Committee has evidence of corruption, bribery, money laundering on the Biden family, they indict Donald Trump,” Mace said. “Joe Biden wants to give Donald Trump a death sentence for documents. He’s facing hundreds of years for mishandling documents, and they want him to die in jail.”
Mace argued that the majority of Americans recognize what is really happening with the nation’s system of justice.
“Most of America sees this for what it is: It’s weaponizing the executive branch to take out your political enemies,” she said.
Mace also outlined the questionable timing of Trump’s indictments by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Special Counsel Jack Smith. Mace said Bragg’s indictment against Trump occurred on the same day the House Oversight Committee gained access to suspicious activity reports regarding alleged corruption of the Biden family. Mace added that Trump’s latest indictment followed the same pattern.
“The day that we got access to this 1023 form showing bribery between Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and Ukraine, they indict Donald Trump again,” she said. “Every time the Oversight Committee has evidence of corruption, bribery, money laundering on the Biden family, they indict Donald Trump.”
The document mentioned by Mace is an FBI-generated FD-1023 document based on alleged evidence from a confidential human source regarding the Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine.
According to the FBI document, President Joe Biden was allegedly paid $5 million by a Ukrainian executive as part of his involvement in a bribery scheme during his time as former President Barack Obama’s vice president.
After describing her belief that Biden wants Trump to be given a “death sentence” for allegedly mishandling classified documents, Mace reiterated her position regarding the difference in standards in America’s current justice system.
“All these people are held to a different standard except for Donald Trump,” she said.
