According to an FBI document, President Joe Biden was allegedly paid $5 million by a Ukrainian executive as part of a bribery scheme during his time as former President Barack Obama’s vice president.

After the Republican-controlled House of Representatives threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress in response to his initial refusal to comply with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena for the FD-1023 document regarding the alleged bribery scheme, Wray allowed members of the committee to securely view the FBI-generated FD-1023 form.

According to Fox News, during an interview in June 2020, a confidential human source told the FBI that Biden allegedly was paid $5 million by Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas firm, while Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma Holdings. The FD-1023 form alleges a criminal bribery scheme between a foreign national and Joe Biden, who was the vice president at the time of the alleged incident. The alleged bribery scheme also involved potential influence on U.S. policy decisions.

The FD-1023 form involves a “highly credible” confidential source that discussed multiple meetings and conversations over several years with a high-level Burisma executive. According to the source, the Burisma executive wanted to “get advice on the best way to go forward” with obtaining U.S. oil rights and involvement with an American oil company in 2015 and 2016.

The Burisma executive told the confidential human source that the company would have to “pay the Bidens” as a result of the difficulty in entering the American market in the middle of Ukrainian Prosecutor Viktor Shokin’s investigation into Burisma. The alleged bribery payment for the Bidens was “$5 million for one Biden, $5 million for the other Biden.”

Biden has previously acknowledged his successful efforts to pressure Ukraine to fire Shokin when he served as vice president, according to Fox News.

In response to the FBI document, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) explained that the bribery allegation is consistent with other findings of the committee.

“The allegations contained within this record track closely with the Oversight Committee’s investigation of the Biden family’s influence peddling schemes,” he said, according to The New York Post. “The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the facts and ensure accountability for the American people.”

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) who is on the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, shared his reaction following the FBI’s disclosure of the document to the Oversight Committee.

“This document also stipulates that according to the confidential human source that money was money was being moved through several accounts, multiple accounts, to get to Joe Biden,” he said.

After viewing the FBI document, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) told Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram there is “no doubt” in her mind that Biden is “guilty of bribery.”

Addressing the latest bribery allegations last week, Biden said, “It’s a load of malarkey.”
