President Donald Trump on Monday tweeted about his upcoming summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, saying “we will all know soon” about whether or not the two nations can strike a “real deal.”
“Meetings between staffs and representatives are going well and quickly… but in the end, that doesn’t matter. We will all know soon whether or not a real deal, unlike those of the past, can happen,” Trump tweeted.

President Trump is in Singapore readying to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un on Tuesday, which will be be Monday evening Eastern time at 8 p.m.
The President arrived in Singapore on June 10.

This will be the first time a U.S. President and a sitting North Korean leader have met in person.
Trump on Sunday night tweeted: “Great to be in Singapore, excitement in the air!”

The President is expected to have a bilateral meeting and working lunch with Kim after a one-on-one meeting first thing Tuesday.
Trump is then expected to have a press conference before departing Singapore at 8 p.m. on Tuesday there, or 8 a.m. EST.

The White House announced the new schedule on Monday, which has the President leaving Singapore earlier than expected after discussions “have moved more quickly than expected.”
