U.S. Marines with the rifle detail for the annual Klipper Ceremony perform the traditional 21-gun salute for those who gave their lives on Dec. 7, 1941, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Dec. 7, 2019. The Klipper Memorial was dedicated in 1981 to honor the 17 U.S. Navy Sailors and two civilian contractors who died during the attack on Naval Air Station Kaneohe Bay on Dec. 7, 1941.
