President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that Hamas needs to follow through with its agreement to disarm or the United States will “disarm them.”

During a roundtable meeting with Argentinian President Javier Milei at the White House on Tuesday, the president told reporters that Hamas has agreed to disarm and warned that the terrorist organization will be forced to disarm if it refuses to do so willingly as part of his 20-point peace plan for the Middle East.

Asked whether he could guarantee that Hamas would actually disarm and how long it would take for the terrorist organization to disarm, Trump said, “Well, they’re going to disarm because they said they were going to disarm. And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them.”

In response to a reporter asking how the Trump administration will disarm Hamas if they refuse to willingly give up their weapons, Trump said, “I don’t have to explain that to you, but if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them.

Trump added, “They know I’m not playing games.”

While Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and the return of the Israeli hostages as part of the first phase of Trump’s Middle East peace deal, the terrorist organization has not yet agreed to Trump’s full 20-point peace plan, including the president’s plan to have Hamas surrender control of Gaza to a new administration, according tod The Daily Wire.

In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump wrote, “ALL TWENTY HOSTAGES ARE BACK AND FEELING AS GOOD AS CAN BE EXPECTED. A big burden has been lifted, but the job IS NOT DONE. THE DEAD HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED, AS PROMISED! Phase Two begins right NOW!!!”

U.S. Central Command issued a statement Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter, following reports of a video that shows Hamas killing eight blindfolded individuals in Gaza City. U.S. Central Command echoed the president’s call to disarm “without delay.”

“We strongly urge Hamas to immediately suspend violence and shooting at innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza – in both Hamas-held parts of Gaza and those secured by the IDF behind the Yellow Line,” Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command, said.

“This is an historic opportunity for peace,” Cooper added. “Hamas should seize it by fully standing down, strictly adhering to President Trump’s 20-point peace plan, and disarming without delay.”
