A new report claims that the Socialist Rifle Association, a left-wing non-profit organization with roughly 10,000 members, has been linked to multiple crimes and has provided weapons training for individuals with transgender and Marxist ideologies.
According to The Daily Wire, the Socialist Rifle Association was incorporated in 2019 by Alexander Tackett, who now identifies as a transgender woman. The outlet noted that Faye Ecklar, the organization’s co-founder, stated, “I believe firearms ownership is necessary because as a transgender socialist, half the country wants me dead, and the other half is happy to watch. Plus, the means of production won’t seize themselves.”
Ecklar previously revealed that a survey of Socialist Rifle Association members showed that the organization was 30% Marxist-Leninist or Maoist, 30% anarchist, 30% Democratic Socialist, and 10% other. Meanwhile, The New Republic reported in 2019 that a third of the members were “LGBTQ” and 8% were transgender.
The Daily Wire reported that Socialist Rifle Association members gather large numbers of assault rifles and tactical gear, such as gas masks. The outlet claimed that one of the organization’s logos is an assault rifle and a transgender flag, alongside the caption, “defend equality.”

According to the Socialist Rifle Association’s website, four of the organization’s 13 national leaders use “they” pronouns. Additionally, following the assassination of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk, the organization released a statement, saying, “The Socialist Rifle Association opposes in the strongest terms the stripping away of gun rights for our trans comrades.”
As part of an investigation, the Daily Wire identified multiple violent crimes that have been linked to members of the Socialist Rifle Association.
According to The Daily Wire, Benjamin Hanil Song, who was identified as a member of the Socialist Rifle Association’s chapter in Dallas-Fort Worth, has been charged for shooting a police officer in the neck after swarming an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Alvarado, Texas, on July 4.
In another example, court documents claim that Paul Hyon Kim, who damaged five Tesla vehicles with a Molotov cocktail, fire, and gunshots on March 18 in Las Vegas, followed the Socialist Rifle Association’s Instagram page and appeared to be featured in a firearm training post on the Reno Socialist Rifle Association’s Instagram page.
Additionally, Adam Matthew Lansky, the suspect responsible for attacking a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon, with Molotov cocktails on January 20 and attacking the dealership a second time with a semi-automatic rifle one month later, has been identified as a former member of the Socialist Rifle Association, according to court documents.
Prosecutors stated, “Lansky is a competitive shooter and a former member of the Socialist Rifle Association. He is skilled and well-practiced in the use of firearms and combat scenarios. The [improvised incendiary devices] used by Lansky were all manufactured by him.”
