The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced on Thursday that the agency is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information that helps law enforcement officials identify and arrest the individual or individuals responsible for the assassination of conservative activist and Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

In a Thursday statement on X, formerly Twitter, the FBI announced, “The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.”

The FBI encouraged any individuals with information regarding Wednesday’s assassination incident to share photo and video evidence on its Utah Valley Shooting tip website or to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

The Hill reported that FBI officials suspended a press conference that had initially been scheduled for Thursday afternoon due to “rapid developments” in the investigation into the assassination of the 31-year-old conservative icon.

In an email obtained by The Hill, the Utah Department of Public Safety stated, “Due to the rapid developments in our investigation, we will suspend this.” The Utah Department of Safety confirmed that officials would announce the rescheduled press conference time later.

The delay in Thursday’s press conference comes after the FBI released two pictures of a “person of interest” in the Kirk assassination case.

Sharing the photos of the “person of interest,” the FBI wrote, “We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley.”

A law enforcement source told CNN on Thursday afternoon that the U.S. Marshals Service, which helps locate and arrest fugitives, has joined the manhunt for the suspect behind Kirk’s assassination.
