Videos and pictures shared on social media show professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau playing golf Monday evening on the White House South Lawn, which President Donald Trump reportedly made into a par three golf course.
Mediaite reported that Trump transformed the South Lawn of the White House into a full-length par three golf course.
Margo Martin, a communications advisor to the president, shared a video of DeChambeau playing golf outside the White House on Monday. Martin tweeted, “SPOTTED: @brysondech throwing darts on the South Lawn of the White House.”
Later Monday evening, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino shared pictures of the professional golfer playing on the upgraded White House golf course.
According to The Daily Mail, DeChambeau played golf with the 47th president at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., on Sunday prior to visiting the White House.
Highlighting his relationship with Dehambeau while addressing a crowd at the Trump National Golf Club on Sunday, Trump said, “He’s a great guy. He’s a great golfer. He’s probably the No. 1 golfer now. Him and Scottie [Scheffler] are rated the top.”

“We play golf a lot together,” Trump added. “It’s not a very pleasant experience for me because I always consider myself a reasonably long hitter, and then I play with him, and I go home. My wife says, ‘Are you as long as Bryson?’ I say, ‘Yeah sorta, pretty close – it’s not close.”
The Palm Beach Post previously reported that DeChambeau was featured on stage as part of Trump’s 2024 election victory celebration in November. The outlet noted that the professional golfer also played with the president in a LIV golf pro-am.
In a previous statement to Fox News, DeChambeau commended Trump for being a “great ambassador for golf.”
“He loves golf, by the way. I think he’s such a great ambassador for the game of golf and for diplomacy, in general,” DeChambeau told Fox News. “It’s been fun to play some golf with him, get to know him a little bit better, and just recognize that he’s just a normal person.”
