Tom Homan, who serves as President Donald Trump’s border czar, warned on Tuesday that he currently has the “biggest concern” he has ever had regarding the number of illegal immigrants who entered the United States through the southern border under former President Joe Biden’s administration.
During a Tuesday interview appearance on “Hannity,” Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Homan,
“If the average American, if everyone watching the show tonight knew what you knew, and [DHS Secretary] Kristi Noem knew, and [FBI Director] Kash Patel, and [FBI Deputy Director] Dan Bongino and [Attorney General] Pam Bondi knew, how scared would they be?”
Homan told Hannity, “I’ve been doing this for 40 years. This is the biggest concern I’ve ever had. You know, we had fentanyl that killed a quarter million Americans. We had sex trafficking up 600%. We got people on the terrorist watch list being arrested at the border. I said from day one, two million plus gotaways.”

“This scares the hell out of me,” Homan added. “If you don’t think a single one of them didn’t come here to do us harm, then you’re a moron. This is the biggest issue I’ve seen in my 40-year career, and it scares the hell out of me. It should scare the hell out of every American, but thank God we got President Trump sitting in the White House because he’s going to take this on 100%.”
Homan’s comments come after the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that 16 Iranian nationals illegally in the United States were arrested amid concerns that Iranian operatives in the United States could try to retaliate on behalf of Iran following Trump’s military strikes against the Middle Eastern country’s nuclear facilities.
During a press gaggle on Tuesday, Trump warned reporters that Biden “let a lot of sleeper cells,” including Iranian “sleeper cells,” into the United States.
“Biden was an incompetent president. He had no idea what he was doing,” Trump said. “It was gross incompetence. And among everything else, he let a lot of sleeper cells in, many from Iran, but hopefully we’ll take care of them. What Biden did to this country should never be forgotten.”
