State and federal law enforcement officials are expanding a manhunt for a military-trained suspect who allegedly killed his three young daughters. The manhunt has remained ongoing for almost three weeks.

Fox News reported that the United States Marshals Service has been leading the manhunt for Decker, who is a former member of the U.S. military and has experience surviving in the wilderness. In addition to other state and federal law enforcement officials, the Washington National Guard has been assisting the manhunt by providing aerial surveillance.

In a Monday press release, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office said, “KCSO deputies and tactical team members continue to work diligently in the manhunt for Travis Decker. Today we are again asking everyone to be alert for a suspicious person or circumstances, especially in the Teanaway valley and Blewett Pass areas, to include Red Bridge Road, Teanaway, Swauk, Lauderdale Junction and Liberty.”

“If you have trail cameras or doorbell cameras, please check them for suspicious activity,” the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office added. “If you have residences in these areas, check them for anything missing (no matter how small or seemingly insignificant).”

According to Fox News, Decker is wanted by law enforcement officials for allegedly killing his three daughters, who have been identified as 9-year-old Paityn, 8-year-old Evelyn, and 5-year-old Olivia. The outlet noted that the bodies of the three children were discovered near a campsite in Washington state earlier this month.

Court documents obtained by Fox News show that law enforcement officials started searching for the military-trained suspect on May 30 after Decker’s ex-wife informed police officials that Decker had not brought back the three children from a court-mandated visitation. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the three girls were found three days later near the suspect’s abandoned vehicle and that the three children’s hands were bound and plastic bags were put over their heads.

According to Fox News, Decker has been charged with three counts of kidnapping and first-degree murder.

In a Tuesday press release, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office noted that the United States Marshals Service is currently offering a reward of up to $20,000 for anyone who provides the agency with information that directly leads to Decker’s arrest. The sheriff’s office described the United States Marshals Service as a “vital component” of the investigation, adding, “They are conducting in depth investigations, interviews, assessments, and deploying specialized personnel while assuming the lead role in the search for Mr. Decker.”

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office also warned the public on Tuesday that Decker “should be considered armed and dangerous.”
