A “queer leftist nonbinary anti-police activist” substitute teacher was arrested on child sex crime charges in Minneapolis on Wednesday following a citizen sting operation led by “child predator hunter” Alex Rosen.
According to The Post Millennial, 35-year-old Preston Palmer, a third-grade substitute teacher at Sullivan STEAM school in Minneapolis, was booked at the Hennepin County Jail on Wednesday. Jail records confirm Sullivan’s booking in Hennepin County and indicate that the 35-year-old teacher was charged for child pornography.
Rosen shared a video of Palmer being arrested and forced into the back of a police vehicle on Wednesday. In a caption to the video, Rosen wrote, “We just caught Preston Palmer, a long term 3RD GRADE substitute TEACHER at Sullivan STEAM school in Minneapolis. He brought a flash drive with over 4,000 child p*rn images to go meet a 13-year-old and his dad for sex…”

According to The Post Millennial, Palmer had communicated with Rosen, who had pretended to be a 13-year-old boy, through text messages and had arranged to meet the boy in the park on Wednesday. The outlet noted that Rosen confronted Palmer at the park and reported the substitute teacher to law enforcement officials, leading to Palmer’s arrest by the Minneapolis Park Police.
Minneapolis Park Police Public Information Officer Dawn Sommers told The Post Millennial, “At approximately 3:45 pm, Wednesday, May 14, Park Police responded to Brackett Park on a report of a person who had arranged to exchange explicit images involving minors. Officers arrived on the scene and took the adult suspect into custody.”
Rosen told The Post Millennial that the 35-year-old substitute teacher had allegedly been under investigation for child sex crimes prior to Wednesday’s arrest but that the Minneapolis Police Department had decided not to pursue charges against him.
“We aren’t vigilantes. We don’t take the law into our hands. We’re concerned citizens who notice evidence of crimes, gather evidence, and report it,” Rosen said. “I got good word from a confidential law enforcement source that there were two previous inquiries into Preston in 2014 and 2020 for child porn, but Minneapolis PD declined to pursue. Law enforcement had the info, but there was no action done until we came into play.”
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, Andy Ngo, an editor for The Post Millennial, described Palmer as a “queer leftist nonbinary anti-police activist.” Ngo claimed that the 35-year-old has a “history of radical leftist social media posts seeking the abolishment of law enforcement” and has “pressured” Minneapolis Public Schools to “cut ties with police in order to ‘protect’ children.”
