Videos: Trump admin uncovers $20 billion wasted by Biden-Harris admin

February 13, 2025

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin revealed on Wednesday that the Trump administration located $20 billion in American tax dollars that the Biden-Harris administration intentionally wasted ahead of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, Zeldin announced that there will be “zero tolerance of any waste and abuse” under the Trump administration. The EPA administrator also referenced a recent Project Veritas video that featured a Biden-Harris EPA advisor admitting that the administration was “throwing gold bars off the Titanic” and trying to “get the money out as fast as possible” ahead of Trump’s inauguration as part of an “insurance policy against Trump winning” the 2024 presidential election.

“An extremely disturbing video circulated two months ago, featuring a Biden EPA political appointee talking about how they were ‘tossing gold bars off the Titanic,’ rushing to get billions of your tax dollars out the door before Inauguration Day,” Zeldin said. “The ‘gold bars’ were tax dollars and ‘tossing them off the Titanic’ meant the Biden administration knew they were wasting it.”

Zeldin noted that following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate, his team “shockingly” discovered that $20 billion in taxpayer funding was “parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA.”

“This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposefully designed to obligate all the money in a rush job with reduced oversight,” Zeldin added.

Zeldin noted that the $20 billion was awarded under the Biden administration to eight entities to distribute money to non-governmental organizations with “far less transparency.” As an example, Zeldin shared that $7 billion was sent to the Climate United Fund.

While Zeldin emphasized that there is “zero reason to suspect any wrongdoing by the bank,” he said that the agreement with the bank should be “instantly terminated” and that the bank “must immediately return all of the gold bars that the Biden administration tossed off the Titanic.”

Zeldin also announced that the EPA will be referring the incident to the inspector general’s office, that the EPA will “review every penny that has gone out the door,” and that the agency will work with the Department of Justice under the Trump administration.

“The days of irresponsibly shoveling boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over,” Zeldin said in the video. “The American public deserves a more transparent and accountable government than what transpired these past four years.”
