Protesters have continued demonstrations throughout San Jose’s east side through the weekend, voicing opposition to recent ICE activity in the South Bay and greater Bay Area last week.

At least 100 protesters gathered along King and Story roads Sunday afternoon, mirroring protests in several other major cities throughout the country, such as Los Angeles and Dallas, as immigration enforcement officials launched covert operations throughout the U.S.

Drivers in the area should seek alternate routes through Alum Rock and King Road, as protesters spilled into the roadway to march, holding signs and Mexican Flags, among other protest messages.

This follows other protests against ICE and recently re-elected President Donald Trump last week, including one on Tuesday and another on Saturday. Several hundred community members throughout the protest began their demonstrations on San Jose’s east side, which is largely made up of people from immigrant communities.
