Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport slammed Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) in a viral video on Tuesday, arguing that the California governor should have “fire-proofed” the state instead of trying to “Trump-proof” it.

In a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram, Rapaport mocked Newsom for claiming that the state would learn from its mistakes following the devastating Southern California wildfires that have killed at least 25 people and destroyed thousands of homes while raging across tens of thousands of acres of land. Rapaport warned the Democratic governor, “There’s no more mistakes for you, you’re done!”

“You’re talking about Trump this, Trump that. He’s not even president,” Rapaport said. “This is on you. This is on you. You’re the governor. You want to Trump-proof California? Fire-proof California. You’re done.”

In Tuesday’s video, the actor and comedian claimed that “Gavin with the good hair Newsom” has “overseen two of the most important cities in California” and “nose-dived them into the ground.” Rapaport described San Fransisco as “apocalyptic,” a “dump pot,” and a “cesspool” due to the homelessness crisis, rampant drug use, crime, and catch and release policies.

Addressing the California wildfires that have plagued Los Angeles and the surrounding region over the past week, Rapaport slammed Newsom for being “woefully and pathetically unprepared.”

“Get the f-ck out of here!” he said of Newsom. “You don’t get any more mistakes. There’s no more mistakes for you. You’re done… You’re fired.”

In the video, Rapaport mocked the California governor for claiming that the state would “do better next time” and that “we need to learn from our mistakes.” Rapaport also mocked Newsom for his “good hair” and “hand gestures.”

“You’re not running for sixth-grade class president,” Rapaport said. “Them days are over.”

In another portion of the video, Rapaport called Newsom “little Nancy’s nephew,” adding, “What a good old boy you turned out to be, you little bullsh-t artist.”

In a caption accompanying the video on X, Rapaport wrote, “Gavin with the good hair Newsom aka Nancy’s Nephew blew it, there’s no learning curve, resign.”
