More than a thousand North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded in fighting against Ukrainian forces, after being deployed in support of Russian troops, more than two years after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This is the assessment of the South Korean military. “We estimate that North Korean troops recently engaged in fighting against Ukrainian forces have suffered about 1,100 casualties,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.
