In the aftermath of President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, numerous left-wing celebrities have shared videos or statements revealing their meltdowns over a second Trump administration.
The celebrity meltdowns circulating on social media come after multiple top Hollywood celebrities and music stars publicly endorsed Harris and bashed Trump’s campaign.
After Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 election, Rapper Cardi B said, “I hate y’all bad.” After one of her fans suggested that the rapper should make an appearance at Trump’s inauguration, she said, “I swear to God I’m gonna f-ck you up, get away from me,” adding, “I’m sick of you! Burn you’re f-cking hats motherf-cker. I’m really sad. I swear to God, I’m really sad.”
Comedian Jon Stewart, who hosts “The Daily Show,” responded to Trump’s win during a special election night broadcast. Expressing his outrage over Trump’s victory, Stewart said, “My point is this: f-ck! But this isn’t the end, I promise you. This is not the end. And we have to regroup, and we have to continue to fight and continue to work day in and day out to create a better society — for our children, for this world, for this country, that we know is possible. It’s possible.”
In a lengthy post on Instagram, actress Jamie Lee Curtis said Trump’s election victory marks a “sure return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time” and warned that “gay and trans people will be more afraid.”
“But what it really means is that we wake up and fight,” Curtis said in defiance. “Fight for women and our children and their futures and fight against tyranny, one day at a time. One fight at a time. One protest at a time. That’s what it means to be an American.”

In a post that has since been deleted, actress Christina Applegate wrote, “My child is sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away,” according to The Daily Wire.
In another post, Applegate added, “Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that. Unfollow me because what you did is unreal. Don’t want followers like this. So yeah. Done. Also after today I will be shutting down this fan account that I have had for so many years because this is sick.”
Author Stephen King also appeared to have a meltdown over Trump’s election victory, writing, “There’s a sign you can see in many shops that sell beautiful but fragile items: LOVELY TO LOOK AT, DELIGHTFUL TO HOLD, BUT ONCE YOU BREAK IT, THEN IT’S SOLD. You can say the same about democracy.”
