A new report by House Republicans claims that the Biden-Harris administration distributed $41 billion to environmental groups that “spread radical, left-leaning ideology” in an effort to eliminate the use of fossil fuels in the United States.

The report, which was recently published by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, criticizes the Biden-Harris administration for allocating federal funding to groups promoting green energy technology that “relies upon supply chains dominated by the Chinese Communist Party.”

The “Exposing the Green Group Giveaway Behind the Biden-Harris Environmental Justice Programs” report reveals the administration funded the Delaware Valley Citizens Council for Clean Air to eliminate fracking and “make biking, walking, transit, and electric vehicles the primary” transportation in the United States. The report also showed that the West Harlem Environmental Action, Incorporated (WE ACT) was given $10 million to prevent new natural gas projects and fight “false solution infrastructure.”

According to The Post Millennial, House Republicans also slammed the Biden-Harris administration for giving $50 million to the Climate Justice Alliance, which concentrates on the “social, racial, economic and environmental justice issues of climate change,” as well as $2.8 billion allocated to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights.

House Republicans stated, “Simply put, the EPA is awarding taxpayer dollars to special interest groups committed to a radical energy agenda to ‘educate’ others and drive public outreach, as well as assist those it engages with to influence government policymaking and outcomes.”

The House Energy and Commerce Committee claims that the Environmental Protection Agency did not have adequate Congressional oversight during its process of distributing $41.5 billion in federal grants to non-profit organizations as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. The Post Millennial reported that President Joe Biden previously acknowledged that the Inflation Reduction Act was more of a climate change bill rather than an inflation reduction bill.

In a scathing statement against the Biden-Harris administration, House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) said, “It couldn’t be more clear: The Biden-Harris administration rewards its environmental special interests at the expense of the American people.”

Rodgers explained it was “equally as alarming” that the administration’s climate policies “benefit the Chinese Communist Party — the world’s worst polluter.”

House Republicans warned that the $41 billion allocated to environmental groups with “left-leaning ideology” could be considered “akin to a taxpayer-funded lobbying operation.” The committee added, “Given these organizations’ existing efforts to sway public opinion, they may use these awards to attempt to indoctrinate members of the communities in which they conduct outreach.”
