Videos shared by multiple social media users on Tuesday appeared to show law enforcement officials shutting down a voting line in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, multiple hours before early voting was supposed to end for the day.

Multiple reports of Bucks County and Pennsylvania Emergency Service officials shutting down a Doylestown voting line circulated on Tuesday, alongside video evidence of the incident.

Media personality Nick Sortor tweeted a video of the incident in Doylestown, saying, “Bucks County, PA Emergency Services just SHUT DOWN the voting line in Doylestown.”

“This is HOURS before they’re supposed to, and this comes after COUNTLESS reports of voter intimidation and shenanigans in the same county,” Sortor added. “VOTER SUPPRESSION!”

In the video, a person can be heard saying, “It’s 2:41, and they are ending the line.”

A different video of Tuesday’s voting incident was posted by Harry Tiffany IV, another social media user, who said, “So I made it in line to vote today!!! Yesterday I was turned away at 2:15. I’ve been in line maybe an hour. It’s 2:43 and they have shut down the line again at the Doylestown Bucks County courthouse for vote in person.”

Just minutes after Tiffany shared the video, the social media user tweeted, “Yesterday, I was turned away today. I got here early. After being here for 45 minutes they have closed the line. It’s 2:45 PM on Tuesday the 29th at the Bucks County courthouse in Doylestown Pennsylvania. It just feels wrong that they’re doing this.”

Media personality Rogan O’Handley described Tuesday’s incident by saying, “If you wanted to know what 3rd world elections look like, here it is. Cops shutting down voting lines b/c too many Republicans are voting.”

Emphasizing the shocking nature of law enforcement officials shutting down an early voting line hours before it was supposed to close, O’Handley pointed out that the video was not recorded in Venezuela or Cuba but was recorded in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state in the 2024 presidential election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. O’Handley encouraged Republican voters not to let people “stop” them from voting.
