Mel Gibson, a Hollywood star actor and director, appeared to reaffirm his support of former President Donald Trump and accused Vice President Kamala Harris of having the “IQ of a fence post” after being confronted by reporters on Thursday regarding his thoughts on the 2024 election.

According to The New York Post, a TMZ photographer encountered the 68-year-old Hollywood star as Gibson was walking into the Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday. With Election Day quickly approaching, the TMZ photographer asked Gibson to share his thoughts on the presidential race between Trump and Harris.

“The president is being voted on in days, what’s your thoughts?” the TMZ photographer asked, prompting Gibson to answer, “Oh man, that’s a big question,” before adding, “I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I vote for.”

In response to Gibson, the TMZ photographer said, “Well, so, I mean, I’m going to just, I’m going to guess, I’m going to guess… Trump. Is that a bad guess?” Gibson answered, “I think it’s a pretty good guess.”

Asked what he thinks the world would be like during a second term under the 45th president, Gibson warned the photographer what the world would be like under a Harris administration.

“I know what it will be like if we let her in,” Gibson said. “And that ain’t good. Miserable track record, appalling track record, no policies to speak of…And she’s got the IQ of a fence post.”

A video of Gibson’s Thursday encounter with the TMZ photographer was shared by Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, on X, formerly Twitter.

According to The New York Post, Gibson was previously seen saluting the former president at an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) match near Las Vegas in 2021.
