President Joe Biden appeared to forget to introduce a world leader during a press conference with India’s prime minister at the Quad Summit on Sunday in Wilmington, Delaware.
Prior to the introduction of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Biden seemed confused at the conclusion of his remarks, leading the president to appear as if he was waiting to answer a question from reporters before yelling, “Who’s next?” According to the New York Post, Saturday’s press conference at the Quad Summit came as the president hosted leaders from Australia, India, and Japan at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
Political commentator Gunther Eagleman shared a video of the president’s latest gaffe on X, formerly Twitter. In the video, Biden can be heard saying, “So I want to thank you all for being here and now, uhh, who am I introducing next?” After waiting a few seconds and receiving no answer, Biden shouted, “Who’s next?”

Amid the president’s apparent confusion, an individual can be seen motioning for Modi to step forward as an announcer introduced the Indian prime minister. The prime minister can then be seen approaching the podium and shaking Biden’s hand.
Alongside the video, Eagleman wrote, “We really don’t have a president. Biden completely FORGOT he was at a press conference with the Prime Minister of India. The entire world is laughing at us. This guy is COOKED.”
After the announcer introduced Modi, Biden attempted to shake off the incident with a joke, saying, “By the way, he’s from a small country like ours. A low population like ours.” Biden added, “He’s become a good and decent man. A good friend.”
According to Fox News, Biden’s episode of confusion at the Quad Summit comes after the president faced significant criticism for First Lady Jill Biden’s role in Friday’s cabinet meeting, which marked the first cabinet meeting since October of 2023. The outlet noted that Jill Biden appeared alongside Joe Biden to discuss the Biden-Harris administration’s Initiative on Women’s Health Research.
Addressing the first lady’s presence at Friday’s cabinet meeting, Joe Biden said, “Here and across previous administrations, first ladies have attended these meetings for specific reasons. This is the first time Jill has joined us, and it goes to show how important the issue is, which she is about to speak to.”
The president concluded his opening remarks at Friday’s cabinet meeting by telling his wife, “It’s all yours, kid.”
