Former Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill, who killed Osama Bin Laden, recently filed a lawsuit against a hotel that accused him of assaulting a security guard and using a racial slur. The former Navy SEAL has repeatedly denied the allegations and claims that the incident has devastated his career.
O’Neill recently shared his side of the story regarding an incident at the Omni Hotel in Frisco, Texas, where the former Navy SEAL was accused of assaulting a white security guard and calling the security guard the “N word” while intoxicated last August.
O’Neill told Fox News, “I’ve lost a ton of business. There was a point in my career where I was giving 300 speeches in one year, between 250 and 300 speeches and that many cities in a year, and now it’s just dried up, because it’s a bad look that didn’t happen.”
Despite the allegations by the security guard, O’Neill claims that he never assaulted a security guard and never used the racial slur. The former Navy SEAL argues that the security guard, identified as Johnny Lee Loomis, made false statements about him and that the guard should not have been hired by the hotel due to his alleged record.
While O’Neill has acknowledged that he had a drink and fell asleep at the hotel bar after a long speaking engagement and that he encountered Loomis as he was “semi-escorted” to his hotel room, he has repeatedly denied assaulting the security guard.

O’Neill is now suing the Omni Hotel for “substantial compensatory and punitive damages against Hotel Defendants.” The former Navy SEAL indicated to Fox News that he hopes to eventually have his reputation restored.
“There’s a ton of damage done, and the internet is forever,” O’Neill told Fox News. “And it’s just hard to just sit here and say, well, that’s not really me, when it’s already out there. People that know me know this is not me. Obviously, I want to restore my reputation. I want to restore the way my family is treated and the way that they think about my reputation and their relationships with me.”
In a statement to Fox News, the Omni Hotel said the Frisco Police Department was sent to the Omni Frisco Hotel at the Star on August 23, 2023, following a “disturbance call” regarding O’Neill.
“Upon arrival on the scene, the responding police officers conducted their own investigation and made the determination to take Mr. O’Neill into custody,” the Omni Hotel added. The hotel explained that O’Neill was arrested for “public intoxication and assault” and that the hotel’s security staff “followed all appropriate protocols.”
