Bulgarian national Milan Dimitrov has been extradited to the United States where he is charged with participating in a scheme to illegally export sensitive microelectronics to Russia.
The indictment alleges that between at least May 2014 and May 2018 Dimitrov, 50, together with another Bulgarian national and a Russian national, used a Bulgarian company to receive export-controlled items from the United States and ship them to Russia without the required licenses.
Dimitrov made his initial appearance in a federal court in San Antonio, Texas, after being extradited from Greece on August 12, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
