Former President Donald Trump mocked President Joe Biden on social media after the president confused Trump with Vice President Kamala Harris during Thursday’s highly-anticipated press conference.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Crooked Joe begins his ‘Big Boy’ Press Conference with, ‘I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president.’ Great job, Joe!”

The viral mix-up moment at the beginning of Biden’s press conference came after Reuters reporter Jeff Mason asked Biden what concerns he had about the vice president’s ability to beat Trump if she were to take his place at the top of the Democratic Party’s ticket.

In response, Biden said, “Look, I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president [if I didn’t] think she was not qualified to be president.”

“So let’s start there, number one,” Biden added. “The fact is the consideration is that I think I’m the most qualified person to run for president. I beat him once, and I will beat him again.”

Biden’s mix-up came shortly after the president seemingly confused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Vladimir Putin at the NATO summit on Thursday. Introducing Zelensky on stage, Biden referred to him as “President Putin” before correcting his mistake.

At the conclusion of Thursday’s press conference, a reporter asked Biden to respond to Trump’s post mocking the president for confusing him with his vice president.

“Right now Donald Trump is using that to mock your age and your memory, how do you combat that criticism from tonight?” the reporter asked Biden. In response, Biden smiled and said, “Listen to him,” before walking off the stage as reporters continued to ask additional questions.
