Former President Donald Trump challenged President Joe Biden to a game of golf during a Tuesday rally in Florida. Trump said that he would donate $1 million to any charity of Biden’s choice if the president managed to beat Trump.
Addressing supporters at Tuesday’s rally, Trump said, “In the debate, Sleepy Joe also declared that he wanted to test his skills and stamina against mine on the golf course. Can you believe this?”
During the recent presidential debate, Biden and Trump argued over who was the better golfer. As a result, Trump announced on Tuesday that he was officially challenging Biden to an 18-hole golf match on his Florida golf course.
Trump claimed that the potential game between two U.S. presidents would be “among the most watched sporting events in history” and explained that he would even give Biden an advantage if he accepted the challenge.
“I will give him 10 strokes aside, and if he wins, I will give the charity of his choice—any charity that he wants—$1 million. And I’ll bet you he doesn’t take the offer.” Trump said. “But what that match will do is prove that Joe is in fact all talk and no action. But on many things, not just golf.”
While the Biden campaign issued a response to the former president’s challenge, the campaign did not accept Trump’s invitation to play a game of golf for charity.
“Our response to Trump challenging President Biden to a golf match at his deranged rally tonight,” the Biden campaign tweeted. “Donald Trump hasn’t been seen in public for 12 days, now he’s inviting fictional serial killers to dinner, teasing lil’ Marco Rubio, praising Project 2025 architect Tom Homan, and challenging the President of the United States to golf.”

In addition to challenging Biden to a game of golf, Trump also challenged the president to another debate. The former president claimed that the debate would give Biden the chance to “redeem himself” after suffering a major defeat in the first debate.
“I’m officially offering Joe the chance to redeem himself in front of the entire world … Let’s do another debate this week so that Sleepy Joe Biden can prove to everyone all over the world that he has what it takes to be president.” Trump stated. “But this time, it will be man to man, no moderators, no holds barred. Just name the place; anytime, anywhere.”
