On Thursday, WWE superstar Hulk Hogan brought down the house at the Republican National Convention where he spoke about the American dream and wildly ripped off his shirt in support of former President Donald Trump.
“When I look out and see all the real Americans, I think about how Donald Trump, his family was compromised,” Hogan said. “I think about how his business was compromised. But when I think about what happened last week, when they took a shot at my hero and they tried to kill the next President of the United States, enough was enough.”
“I said let Trumpamania run wild!” Hogan shouted as he ripped off his shirt, revealing a Trump-Vance campaign shirt underneath. “Let Trumpamania rule again! Let Trumpamania make America great again!”
“As an entertainer, I try to stay out of politics, but after everything that’s happened to our country over the past four years, and everything that happened last weekend, I can no longer stay silent. I’m here tonight because I want the world to know that Donald Trump is a real American hero,” he continued.
“They’ve thrown everything at Donald Trump,” Hogan added. “All the investigations, the impeachments, the court cases, and he’s still standing and kicking their butts.”
Hogan said he “really, really love[s] this country” and that he’s “lived the American Dream.”
“And I want my kids, your kids…to live the American Dream, too,” Hogan said. “This November, guys, we can save the American Dream for everyone. And Donald Trump is the president who will get the job done.”
“You know I got tired of remaining silent,” he continued. “I sat back and watched the borders collapse. I watched the economy collapse. I watched the price of gas, the price of food, everything do just an upside down flip. And when they took a shot at my hero, Donald Trump, I realized that I couldn’t be silent any more!”
“You know I had to step up and be a real American, all these Americans here, Donald Trump,” Hogan said. “I have a voice, too, and I want everyone to know it’s time to talk, it’s time not to be silent anymore.”
