Former President Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party after Biden announced he would be dropping out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday.
In an initial post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t.”
Trump described Biden as “the Worst President, by far, in the History of our Nation.” The former president pointed to issues, such as the southern border crisis, blaming Biden for the millions of illegal immigrants who have entered the United States under his administration. Trump said that while the United States will “suffer greatly because of his presidency,” after the November election, “we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly.”
In another post on Truth Social, the former president said his campaign is now forced to “start all over again” after spending “time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden,” leading to the president lagging in the polls after the disastrous presidential debate in June.

Trump added, “Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?”
Trump also questioned the timing of Biden’s COVID-19 diagnosis last week and his subsequent decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.
“Does anybody really believe that Crooked Joe had Covid?” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “No, he wanted to get out ever since June 27th, the night of The Debate, where he was completely obliterated. That was the big moment in Joe Biden’s demise.”
Trump argued that the recent presidential debate exposed Biden as an “incompetent man who should never have been President,” that Biden “is not fit to serve,” and that Biden is “destroying” the United States.
On Monday, the former president issued a statement criticizing Democrat leaders for going against the will of their 2024 primary voters and pushing Biden out of the race. Prior to Biden’s announcement on Sunday, multiple Democratic leaders had publicly and privately called for the president to withdraw from the race.
“The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris,” Trump stated. “They stole the race from Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First! These people are the real THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”
