A new report claims that X owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is planning to contribute roughly $45 million per month to a recently formed super PAC that is supporting former President Donald Trump in the November election. The report comes shortly after Musk gave his full endorsement to Trump.
The Wall Street Journal reported that anonymous sources indicated the multi-billionaire is planning to contribute approximately $45 million each month to America PAC, which is a new super Pac that was created in June to increase voter registration and encourage voters to participate in early voting and request mail-in ballots in crucial swing states.
According to The Post Millennial, America PAC is hoping to counter the Democratic Party’s traditional funding advantage over the Republican Party in running “get out the vote” campaigns and grassroots efforts in key swing states across the country.
While The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk is donating to the super PAC, USA Today reported that Monday’s filing from America PAC did not list the Tesla CEO as one of the political action committee’s donors. However, the outlet noted that America PAC had already raised over $8 million.
USA Today also reported that as of Monday, Musk was the only Fortune 100 CEO to fully endorse a candidate in the U.S. presidential election.

According to The Post Millennial, other supporters of the political action committee include former U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners Joe Craft, investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Palantir Technologies.
Following reports of Musk’s donation, President Joe Biden’s campaign issued a statement against the Tesla CEO.
“Arrogant billionaires only out for themselves are not what America wants or what America needs,” a Biden campaign spokesperson told Bloomberg. “Elon knows Trump is a sucker who will sell America out, cutting his taxes while raising taxes on the middle class by $2,500.”
Following Saturday’s assassination attempt against Trump, Musk shared a video of the incident and publicly endorsed the former president. He tweeted, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
According to USA Today, Musk previously revealed that he voted for Democrats in the three most recent election cycles, including Biden.
