King Charles III’s sister Princess Anne has been hospitalized after sustaining “minor injuries and concussion” over the weekend.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the news about Anne, whose official title is the Princess Royal, on Monday. Royal reporters have suggested online that the accident, which took place at the princess’ country home, was horse-related.

The 73-year-old royal, who is the younger sister of King Charles, is an avid horse-rider. Earlier this month, she took part in the ceremonial Trooping the Colour parade outside of Buckingham Palace on horseback. Her love of horses was documented in the Netflix series “The Crown,” in which Anne was played by Erin Doherty and Claudia Harrison.

“The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening,” a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said in a statement. “Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery. The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his finest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery.”

Princess Anne’s injuries are the latest in a run of ill-health plaguing senior members of the British Royal Family. Both King Charles and his daughter-in-law Princess Catherine are currently undergoing cancer treatment. Charles returned to his public duties in late April, while Kate made her first public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis at the Trooping the Colour event on June 15.
