Hunter Biden was convicted on three federal gun charges by a jury of Delaware residents on Tuesday, making him the first sitting president’s child to be convicted on criminal charges.

According to The Hill, President Joe Biden’s son was found guilty on all three of the charges stemming from the criminal case, which centered around the president’s son lying in 2018 on a federal firearm form by answering “no” to a question that asked whether he was addicted to controlled substances. The president’s son also illegally possessed a firearm for 11 days.

The Hill reported that Hunter Biden was convicted after approximately three hours of jury deliberation.

According to Fox News, Hunter Biden was found guilty of making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, making a false statement regarding information that is required for federally licensed gun dealers to keep on record, and for possession of a firearm by someone who is an unlawful user of a controlled substance or is addicted to a controlled substance.

The Hunter Biden trial included the testimony of multiple members of the Biden family, including Hunter Biden’s daughter, Naomi Biden, his former wife, Kathleen Buhle, and his sister-in-law and former lover, Hallie Biden.

In Monday’s closing arguments, prosecutor Leo Wise said, “The central issue in this case, and that is the evidence has established beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was an unlawful user of and addicted to a controlled substance when he bought the gun on Oct. 12, 2018, during the period when he possessed it from Oct. 12 to Oct. 23, and for more than six months after.”

“He knew he was using drugs,” Wise added. “That’s what the evidence shows. And he knew he was addicted to drugs, that’s what the evidence shows.”

Following his conviction on Tuesday, The Post Millennial reported that Hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison.
