A man is accused of committing eight burglaries in the Pen Argyl area late last year, according to officials.
Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta said in a news release Tuesday that Shane Richard Lake, 31, of Pen Argyl was involved with eight burglaries between Nov. 28 and Dec. 6.
During these burglaries, 20 firearms were stolen, as well as jewelry, military medals, silverware and other expensive items, according to the release.
Lake is charged with eight counts of burglary, 28 counts of theft, 24 counts of receiving stolen property, 16 counts of prohibited possession of a firearm and one count of trespass.
Lake was arraigned on the charges Tuesday afternoon. He was sent to Northampton County Prison on $750,000 bail. He is also charged with unrelated burglaries in Lehigh County, according to the DA.
