A male suspect went on a stabbing spree attack on Saturday evening, attacking four individuals at a movie theater in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, before driving to a McDonald’s and attacking two more people with a knife.

Police have arrested 26-year-old suspect Jared Ravizza in connection with the stabbing spree.

The Braintree Police Department reported the attack began in their jurisdiction at around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night at the AMC Braintree 10 theater.

The Braintree Police Department said the suspect “proceeded past the ticket counter and entered one of the theaters without paying. Inside the theater, he encountered four young females. Without saying anything and without any warning, he suddenly attacked and stabbed the four young females.”

The Braintree Police Department said the attack appeared to be unprovoked.

The four girls he stabbed ranged in age from nine to 17 years old. Following this attack, the Braintree Police Department said the suspect ran out of the theater, entered a black SUV, and drove away.

Members of the Braintree Police Department, the Braintree Fire Department, and the paramedic service in Brewster responded to the scene of this initial stabbing attack and attended to the four young victims. The Braintree Police Department said all four girls sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals in Boston.

The Braintree Police Department said a suspect in a black SUV was “involved in similar assault” in Plymouth at some point shortly after their first emergency broadcast went out.

The Plymouth Police Department reported a male suspect entered a McDonald’s location at around 7:00 p.m. local time on Saturday night and, after a payment dispute, “assaulted two employees with a knife” before fleeing in a dark-colored SUV. Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz said the suspect, whom he identified as Ravizza, reached through the drive-through window to stab the first victim, a 28-year-old male employee. The suspect then parked his car and entered the fast-food chain to attack the second victim, a 21-year-old female employee.

Plymouth Police, Fire, and EMS members rendered aid to the two stabbing victims. Each victim reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Plymouth Police Department said they learned the suspect had been involved in a similar attack in Braintree.

Following the second attack, Massachusetts State Police located the suspect vehicle and gave chase. The suspect crashed in Sandwich and was taken into custody. Authorities are actively investigating the two attacks.

Cruz said Ravizza will face charges for assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
