The Republican National Committee (RNC) revealed new fundraising numbers on Wednesday, announcing that the Republican Party and former President Donald Trump’s campaign raised over $65.6 million in March.

Wednesday’s press release explained that the $65.6 million, which was raised by the former president’s campaign, the RNC, and other “aligned groups,” added to previous fundraising totals, bringing the Republican Party’s total cash on hand to $93.1 million heading into the month of April.

“President Donald J. Trump has again created a fundraising juggernaut among Republicans. While he has been the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party for less than a month, the RNC and Trump campaign are one unified operation and focused on victory,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said in the press release. “We’re raising funds and making strategic investments to get out the vote and protect the ballot. We are going to win BIG in just 31 weeks.”

Susie Wiles, a senior advisor to the Trump campaign, explained that the former president’s campaign has been “steadily ramping up” fundraising efforts while working in conjunction with the RNC. The Trump advisor said the latest fundraising numbers show the “overwhelming support” the former president has earned from voters “all across the spectrum.”

Wiles added, “Republicans may not be beneficiaries of the self interested largess from Hollywood and Silicon Valley elites, but President Trump is proud to be supported by donations from voters who are the backbone of this nation, which will fuel Republicans up and down the ballot.”

The Daily Caller reported that while the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and President Joe Biden have not yet disclosed their fundraising totals for March, the Biden campaign raised over $25 million at a fundraiser last week in New York City. According to Politico, the DNC and the Biden campaign had $97.5 million cash on hand at the end of February, while the RNC and the Trump campaign had $44.8 million cash on hand.

In a statement to the Daily Caller, Ammar Moussa, a Biden campaign spokesperson, said, “Donald Trump spent his first month as the presumptive Republican nominee holed up in a back room at Mar-a-Lago with billionaire special interests while he continues to struggle with the kind of grassroots donors who are powering our campaign.”

Moussa claimed that Trump is spending his campaign’s money on “everything but reaching voters.” The Biden campaign spokesperson also claimed that Trump does not have the donor support, campaign infrastructure, or “broad appeal” to win the 2024 election.
