A new secret report by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police warns that the Canadian economy is expected to be “bleak” for the next several years under Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The report claims that living standards will continue to “decline” for “younger generations.”

While a significant portion of the report, which is labeled “Whole-of-Government Five-Year Trends for Canada,” is redacted, the report forecasts economic woes for Canada for at least the next five years.

“In the words of Emmanuel Macron, we are about to see ‘the end of abundance.’ Economic forecasts for the next five years and beyond are bleak,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police report states. “It is always unclear exactly how economies will perform, but this period of recession will likely have a negative impact on the social and political world as well. The coming period of recession will accelerate the decline in living standards that the younger generations have already witnessed compared to earlier generations.”

The report warns that “many Canadians” under the age of 35 are “unlikely” to ever be able to afford to buy “a place to live.” According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s report, the “fallout” from declining standards of living is expected to be “exacerbated” over the next several years due to the difference in “extremes of wealth” being “greater now than it has been at any time in several generations.”

The Royal Bank of Canada previously reported in December that the country was “at or near worst-ever affordability levels in many markets.” The Royal Bank of Canada explained that affordability was a “particularly tense” issue in Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria, where home ownership costs were “sky-high.”

According to The Daily Wire, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s report appears to suggest that former President Donald Trump’s election marked the start of political trouble for Canada. The report claimed that “social and political polarization” in Western countries has increased over the last seven years.

“Law enforcement should expect continuing social and political polarization fueled by misinformation campaigns and an increasing mistrust for all democratic institutions,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police added in the report.

Despite warning of a “bleak” economic outlook for Canada, the report appears to double down on the Trudeau administration’s climate policies.

“Canada is facing a wider array of complex environmental challenges than at any point in its history,” the report states. “Most significant of these challenges are the effects of climate change, which will impact all facets of government.”
