A naked man was arrested last Thursday after breaking into a home in Austin, Texas, assaulting the female resident, and engaging in an extended standoff with local police.
According to Fox 7, 45-year-old Larry Robinson broke into a woman’s home on Merle Drive in Austin, Texas, around noon on Thursday. An arrest affidavit obtained by Fox 7 noted that the resident had just arrived at her house when she discovered a naked man “standing a short distance from her.”
The affidavit explained that the woman told Robinson to leave her home, but the man was “babbling and smoking narcotics from a glass pipe while staring at her.” Instead of leaving the house, police said Robinson assaulted the female resident.
“He kicked an empty dog kennel towards her on purpose which hit her ankle and caused a contusion and bleeding. [The victim] said she was very scared and forced the window open and jumped out of her house in fear for her life,” the affidavit stated. “[She] described looking back up towards the window where she could see the naked man looking out at her as if it was something from a horror movie.”
After leaving her house, the woman called 911, according to Fox 7. While the woman received medical treatment for her injury, the Austin Police Department deployed a SWAT team to the woman’s house to handle Robinson, who barricaded himself in the residence. Fox 7 reported that the situation led to an extended standoff with police after the officers learned that there were multiple firearms inside the house.

“At that point, the officers on scene began treating this incident as a barricaded subject call,” Police Corporal Jose Mendez said.
After unsuccessfully attempting to talk to Robinson, Mendez said the SWAT team ” transitioned into the flash bangs and distractionary devices.” Mendez explained that Robinson “exited the residence unharmed” hours later after the police engaged in “several attempts of de-escalating” the situation.
Addressing the damage caused by Robinson during the police standoff, the affidavit stated, “While Larry Robinson was inside the home he threw property around the house, punched holes in the wall, kicked dogs that were inside the house, and urinated on the floors.”
According to Fox 7, Robinson remained in the Travis County Jail as of Monday night with a $50,000 bond. Robinson has been charged with burglary of a habitation; however, police sources have indicated that additional charges could be brought against the 45-year-old.
Fox 7 reported that Robinson’s previous criminal history in Travis County includes indecent exposure, failure to register as a sex offender, the assault of a family member, and the possession of cocaine.
