Two illegal immigrants believed to have been involved in the recent assault of two New York Police Department (NYPD) officers were released Wednesday without bail and were seen flipping off cameras.

Video shared on X by Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, shows a group of illegal immigrants assaulting two NYPD officers last Saturday in New York City’s Times Square. The video shows an NYPD officer and an NYPD lieutenant confronting a group of illegal immigrants before multiple illegal immigrants began punching and kicking the two law enforcement officials.

According to The New York Post, the suspects in the incident include 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 22-year-old Jhoan Boada, 21-year-old Wilson Juarez, and 19-year-old Kelvin Servita Arocha. Police are reportedly still searching for three other suspects. The suspects have been charged with obstruction of governmental administration and second-degree assault on a police officer.

After being released from police custody on Wednesday, Boada was seen flipping off news reporters with both hands.

In a post on X, Benny Johnson, a political activist and media personality, shared a picture of Boada flipping off reporters, writing, “This is Jhoan Boada, he’s one of the millions of criminal aliens Joe Biden welcomed into our country. He’s flipping you off because he was just released WITHOUT BAIL after physically assaulting 2 NYPD officers in Times Square.”

Fox News released video of two of the other illegal immigrant suspects leaving court in New York City. In the video, one of the illegal immigrants can be seen flipping off reporters while the other is seen laughing.

Asked about the assault incident by reporters on Wednesday, Governor Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.) explained that the possibility of deporting the illegal immigrants involved in Saturday’s assault of NYPD officers is something that “should be looked at,” according to The New York Post.

“I mean, if someone commits a crime against a police officer in the state of New York and they’re not here legally, it’s definitely worth checking into,” Hochul said. “These are law enforcement officers who should never under any circumstance be subjected to physical assault. It’s wrong on all accounts, and I’m looking to judges and prosecutors to do the right thing.”
