A major fire consumed a massive chicken farm in Texas on Monday, with eyewitnesses claiming that a loud explosion was heard prior to the start of the fire.
According to The National Desk, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call regarding the fire at Feather Crest Farms at roughly 5 p.m. on Monday. The National Desk reported that firefighters remained at Feather Crest Farms until Tuesday.
“The fire is still burning,” a representative from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said. “They haven’t been able to put it out yet.”
According to The Gateway Pundit, eyewitnesses of the Texas fire reported that a loud explosion was heard before the fire engulfed Feather Crest Farms. While the explosion has been reported by eyewitnesses as a potential cause of the fire, officials have not confirmed either the explosion or the cause of the fire. An investigation into the fire remains ongoing.
A social media user posted video of Monday’s fire on X, commenting, “Massive Fire erupts after large explosion at Feather Crest Farm Chicken Plant in Bryan, Texas.”
The Bryan Fire Department confirmed Monday’s fire in a post on Facebook, showcasing photos of the massive fire on Facebook from the fire department’s drone team. The photos showed the fire consuming two of the buildings at Feather Crest Farms, with huge clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

KBTX reported that firefighters from Brazos, Robertson, and Madison Counties provided mutual aid throughout the Texas farm fire, with firefighters having to transport water to the farm from other locations. KBTX also reported that the fire was contained to two buildings on the Feather Crest Farms property.
Despite the size and intensity of the fire, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office told The National Desk that no injuries had been reported; however, no information has been released regarding whether any animals were injured or killed in the fire.
