A viral video on social media appears to show an illegal immigrant threatening an American journalist while the journalist was providing news coverage of the southern border between the United States and Mexico.

Video footage of the encounter was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by 1st Responders Media. The video of the illegal immigrant encounter was posted on social media with the caption, “A migrant who illegally crossed into the United States threatened me, saying ‘You find out who I am very soon,’ simply because I asked him where he was from. These are the people @AliMayorkas @POTUS @DHSgov and @CBP are letting in.”

According to The Post Millennial, the incident involving the illegal immigrant allegedly threatening a journalist took place Saturday at the southern border near Sasabe, Arizona. The Post Millennial reported that the unidentified illegal immigrant was part of a group of individuals who had just crossed illegally over the southern border into the United States.

After the news reporter asked where the illegal immigrant had come from, the illegal immigrant told the journalist, “If you are smart enough, you will know who I am. But you really aren’t smart enough to know who I am. But soon, you’re gonna know who I am. Very soon.”

After listening to the man’s response, the reporter can be heard commenting on the “entitlement” of the unidentified illegal immigrant. However, the illegal immigrant interjected, “No, believe me, I’m much better than that.”

Saturday’s incident at the border comes as the United States continues to face a growing issue at the southern border with an unprecedented number of unvetted illegal immigrants pouring into the United States.

According to statistics provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol agents apprehended 172 individuals on the terror watchlist at the border in 2023 and 98 individuals on the terror watchlist in 2022, fueling concerns about the potential number of dangerous illegal immigrants that could currently be residing in the country.
