Former President Donald Trump, the leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate, was recorded attending his granddaughter’s school for Grandparents Day on Wednesday.
A video posted on X by the former president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, shows the Republican frontrunner holding his granddaughter Carolina’s hand. The former president’s granddaughter can be seen leading Trump around the school classroom and showing him her desk.
Lara Trump shared the short video of Trump’s Grandparents Day visit on social media, captioning the video, “When top priority is showing Grandpa your desk at school.”
According to The Post Millennial, Carolina is the daughter of Eric and Lara Trump and is one of Donald Trump’s ten grandchildren.
In the video shared on social media, Carolina led her grandfather by the hand into her classroom before Lara Trump can be heard telling her, “Hey Carolina, show him your desk. Show Grandpa.” Carolina can then be seen pointing toward her desk as the former president bends down and puts his arm around her shoulder.

While the video footage only captured a short segment of Wednesday’s Grandparents Day visit, Lara Trump also posted a picture of Donald Trump, Carolina, and Carolina’s teacher. Lara Trump tweeted, “Strong team for Grandest Friends Day!!!”
Conservative media personality Jack Posobiec shared Lara Trump’s video on his X account, highlighting how the former president took time away from his relentless presidential campaign schedule to prioritize his family. “With everything he has going on, he made sure to take time to put family first,” he tweeted. “She will never forget this day.”
Turning Point USA Founder and CEO Charlie Kirk also shared the video on X, claiming that the video provides a “contrast” with Joe Biden, who “refused to recognize his own granddaughter for 4 years.”
According to The Post Millennial, President Joe Biden repeatedly refused to acknowledge his 4-year-old granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts, until July. The president’s 4-year-old granddaughter is the daughter of Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts.
In a July statement to “People” magazine, Joe Biden said, “This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
