Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars participate in Wenatchee’s Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11, 1958 marching south on Wenatchee Avenue. The VFW, members of the American Legion and it’s auxiliary and representatives from other veterans’ organizations were accompanied by high school bands and majorettes. The parade route now goes south on Chelan Street then north on Mission Street, avoiding Wenatchee Avenue.
The obvious change in the scene photographed on June 13, 2023, is the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel. Goodfellow Bros. now occupies the 1929 Metropolitan Building at the corner of Second Street and North Wenatchee Avenue.
