Travelers can visit two new United Airlines clubs at Denver International Airport, including the carrier’s largest club in the world.
Its 35,000-square-foot club in the B East Concourse opened on Wednesday, joining the other new 24,000-square-foot club in the A West Concourse that opened last month.
Another club is planned for 2025, which will result in more than 100,000 square feet of United Club space at the airport.
“We’re growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers’ experience,” said Alexander Dorow, United’s head of clubs and lounges, in a statement.
Near gate B44, the latest club spans three levels, with a bar selling beer flight boards that feature Colorado breweries. The other club near gate A26 features two fireplace lounges across two levels.
To access the clubs, patrons can buy a yearly membership or a one-day pass for $59. They can also use various United credit cards, which offer different levels of access. But across the board, they must present a same-day United boarding pass.
The clubs are part of the carrier’s almost $1 billion investment into its customer experience at DIA, but United has recently made other moves to secure its spot as Denver’s top airline and the area’s biggest employer. Earlier this year, the company recruited hundreds of islanders from Guam for ramp agent roles, and made a $33 million land purchase near the airport to expand its ability to train pilots.
With over two-thirds of United travelers connecting to their next flights at DIA, the airline will run a total of 90 gates at the airport by the middle of next year.
