An Air Force Academy cadet will face a court-martial later this week on charges including use of cocaine and psilocybin.
Cadet Seth Misukanis is facing allegations of fraudulent appointment, which means he may have falsely represented himself in the appointment process. He is also accused of making false statements, using cocaine and psilocybin, a psychedelic substance found in certain mushrooms.
Psilocybin was decriminalized in Colorado last year. It is not allowed under the Unified Code of Military Justice.
The court-martial is expected to start Thursday.
Misukanis was previously on the Academy’s boxing team.
