Former President Donald Trump announced his plan Wednesday to execute the “largest domestic deportation operation in American history” if he wins the 2024 presidential election.
Delivering a speech in Dubuque, Iowa, on Wednesday, the Republican frontrunner criticized President Joe Biden and his administration for what he described as the “nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border.”
During his speech, Trump stated, “Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in U.S. history. Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world.” The former president explained that he would “immediately” end “every Open Borders policy of the Biden Administration” if he is elected to a second term as president.
“Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history,” Trump stated.

In addition to his deportation operation plans, Trump said he would “invoke the Alien Enemies Act” in order to “remove all known or suspected Gang Members, drug dealers, or Cartel Members from the United States.”
According to Fox News, Trump said he would also use the U.S. Navy to “impose a full Fentanyl Blockade on the waters of our region—boarding and inspecting ships to look for fentanyl and fentanyl precursors.”
During his speech to Iowa voters, the former president announced his plan to reinstitute and expand the travel ban to “keep Radical Islamic Terrorists out of our country.”
“I will also use existing federal law to deny entry to all communists and Marxists to the United States,” he said. “Those who join our country must love our country—and we are going to keep foreign Christian-hating communists, Marxists, and socialists the hell out of America.”
During Wednesday’s speech, the former president also unveiled his plan to “shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement.” Federal law enforcement agencies that would be shifted to immigration enforcement under Trump’s administration would include the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
“I will make clear that we must use any and all resources needed to stop the invasion—including moving thousands of troops currently stationed overseas to our OWN southern border,” Trump said, adding that “before we defend the borders of foreign countries, we must secure the border of our country.”
