The House Oversight Committee announced Monday that Hunter Biden put President Joe Biden on speakerphone with foreign business partners multiple times during his time as vice president of the United States.
“In at least a dozen instances, Hunter put his father, then VP, on speakerphone with his overseas business partners,” the Republican House Oversight Committee alleged in a statement on Twitter. “In one instance with Biden associate Devon Archer, two Burisma executives explicitly asked Hunter, ‘Can you ring your dad?’ We look forward to speaking with Devon Archer about this developing story.”
As Hunter Biden’s former best friend, Devon Archer is expected to provide his testimony to Congress as soon as this week, according to The Daily Mail. His claims provide insight into Joe Biden’s alleged role in Hunter Biden’s business affairs.
If true, the House Oversight Committee’s allegations would contradict what Joe Biden said during a Democratic primary debate in 2019 when he was questioned regarding Hunter Biden’s business dealings with foreign partners, such as Burisma Holdings in Ukraine.
At the time, Joe Biden claimed, “I never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having to do with Ukraine. No one has indicated I have.”

Addressing news of Devon Archer’s upcoming Congressional testimony, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), said, “We are looking forward very much to hearing from Devon Archer about all the times he has witnessed Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden’s overseas business partners when he was vice president, including on speakerphone.”
Comer told The Daily Mail that Biden “lied to the American people” when he claimed “he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings.” The House Oversight Committee Chairman said evidence is continuing to “be revealed” that the president was “very much involved in his family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes,” alleging that Joe Biden “likely benefited financially” from Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
“It certainly appears that Joe Biden and his family put themselves first and Americans last, but corporate media and the Justice Department continue to cover up for the Bidens,” Comer said.
