The U.S. Defense Department has announced an additional $325 million in security assistance “to meet Ukraine’s critical security and defense needs.”
The authorization is the 40th drawdown of equipment from Defense Department inventories for Ukraine since August 2021 and includes “key capabilities to aid Ukraine’s efforts to retake its sovereign territory and support Ukraine’s air defenders,” the department said in a statement on June 13.
