Tucker Carlson is reportedly raising funding to launch a new media company following his departure from Fox News.

Carlson, who was fired from Fox News in April, currently posts periodical monologues on Twitter. However, according to Puck News, Carlson may be using his current Twitter show as a springboard for a new media endeavor.

“It’s increasingly possible that the Twitter show is a top-of-funnel play for other things Tucker may soon have cooking,” Puck News reported Wednesday. “In fact, I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential.”

According to the Daily Caller, Fox News fired the remaining producers and staff members from “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday.

Fox News also announced a new primetime lineup for the network this week, attempting to boost ratings in the aftermath of Carlson’s firing.

The recent firing of Carlson’s former staff members comes amid the ongoing legal battle between Carlson and Fox News.

According to the Daily Caller, Fox News recently sent Carlson a “cease and desist” letter and have accused the conservative media icon of breaching his contract by posting video monologues on Twitter, while Carlson’s lawyers have accused the news network for breaching his contract following its decision to remove the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show in April.

Discussing the recent firing of Carlson’s staff members, Gregg Re, a former “Tucker Carlson Tonight” producer, said, “Meade Cooper did not simply fire all of Tucker’s old team.”

“It’s important to capture the callousness,” he continued. “First, she let the employees hear about the news of their show’s cancellation from a Fox press release. Then, Meade told the employees to hunt around the Fox website to see if they could maybe find another gig.”

With Carlson’s former staff members no longer employed at Fox News, Dylan Byers from Puck News believes many of his former team may join him in his new media endeavor.

“The eight remaining members of the Tucker Carlson Tonight team were told Monday that they would need to leave by mid-July, with the option to reapply for new positions,” he said. “Such an outcome doesn’t seem terribly likely, of course. I am told that the vast majority of these employees will instead reunite with Tucker, who is currently posting Twitter videos from his barn in Maine, with bigger media ambitions afoot.”

According to Byers, if Carlson’s new media endeavor is “executed adroitly,” the platform could “serve as a paradigm” for an entire generation of media personalities.
