While everyone has heard the phrase familiarity breeds contempt, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are discovering that it may be true.

More public lambasting of the couple comes from Bill Simmons, founder of Spotify. According to Fortune, Simmons held nothing back when discussing the recent severing of their podcast.

“I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify negotiation,” Simmons said. “’The F–cking Grifters.’ That’s the podcast we should have launched with them. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try to help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories..f–ck them. The grifters.”

Harry and Meghan had planned a series entitled ‘Archetypes’, a play on their son’s name. Produced by Archewell Audio, the couple’s production company, the series had an intended mission to investigate, dissect and subvert how society repressed women through labels.

While a list of celebrity guests was promised, to include Trevor Noah, Serena Williams and Paris Hilton, only one series and a holiday special were produced.

No formal reason for the parting has been provided, although many noted the severance comes after Spotify experienced 200 layoffs within the company.

It’s unfortunately not the only public dislike Harry and Meghan have received since they left the Royal family in England for a life in America.

According to Marca, Emily Jashinsky, co-host of a podcast with Megyn Kelly, stated her belief people found the couple’s apparently money-motivated actions unpleasant.

“People are actually like ‘What are you talking about?’ You’re insulting this country, you’re insulting decent human beings and you’re trying to make money and profit off of it all. I think people are absolutely sick of it,” Jashinsky said

Kelly Osbourne, daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, joined in with an expletive-riddled condemnation on a podcast, according to HuffPost.

“I think he’s a f*cking twat,” Osbourne said, “He’s a whining, whinging, complaining woe is me.”
