A new report indicates that the proposed fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg could take place at Rome’s Colosseum.
TMZ Sports reported Friday that the Minister of Culture, an Italian government official, reached out to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg just days ago, suggesting that the 2,000-year-old historic Colosseum could potentially host a fight between the Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, Twitter owner and Tesla CEO.
According to TMZ Sports, both Zuckerberg and Musk want the fight to take place at the Colosseum. The news outlet reported that a source informed them that Zuckerberg’s associates passed the government official’s offer onto Dana White, UFC president, who in turn contacted the Minister of Culture regarding the proposal.
“Some chance fight happens in Colosseum,” Elon Musk tweeted on Friday.

The New York Post reported that if the Colosseum is confirmed as the location of a cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg, it would be the first time the historic arena has hosted a fight in hundreds of years.
Last week, Musk and Zuckerberg traded blows on social media after Musk addressed a tweet that claimed Meta was preparing to launch an app called “Threads” to rival Twitter. In response to the news surrounding Zuckerberg’s anticipated app, Musk warned about the world falling “exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”
One Twitter user warned Musk that Zuckerberg has been trained in jiu jitsu, to which Musk responded, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” Zuckerberg quickly addressed Musk’s cage match challenge, urging the Tesla CEO to send him the location of the fight.
According to the New York Post, both Musk and Zuckerberg have trained with Lex Fridman. Fridman is an MIT researcher of artificial intelligence who has a first-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
On Tuesday, Fridman shared photos of “an impromptu training session” with Elon Musk. “I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power and skill, on the feet and on the ground,” he wrote. “It was epic.”
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg was recently awarded both gold and silver medals in a Brazilian jiu jitsu competition. The competition was reportedly Zuckerberg’s first jiu jitsu tournament.
