The NYPD is alerting the public that military planes will be flying in the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty during the Tuesday morning rush hour.
A U.S. Air Force UH60 helicopter and a German Air Force A400M airbus will be conducting a joint flyover in the vicinity of Lady Liberty from 8:30 a.m. about 9 a.m., according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
The aircraft will fly at about 3,000 to 3,500 feet for a photography project, according to the police statement.
