Israeli forces killed three militants involved in the fatal shooting of a British-Israeli woman and her two daughters in the West Bank last month, officials said Thursday.

Several Palestinians were also injured by Israeli troops during the raid in Nablus.

Lucy Dee, 48, and her daughters Rina, 15, and Maia, 20, were killed April 7 after two gunmen opened fire on their car near the Hamra settlement.

The daughters died at the scene and their mother died three days later at a hospital.

More than 200 Israeli troops were involved in the early morning raid, using tear gas and rubber bullets to break up crowds.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified the gunman as Hassan Qatanani and Moaz Masri, both members of Hamas. Ibrahim Jabr, a senior Hamas operative who helped the alleged gunmen escape after shooting the Dee family, was also killed.

The Palestinian health ministry confirmed that three were killed but had not been able to identify two of the men because of the extent of their wounds. The health ministry added that students at a school near the apartment building were hospitalized for tear gas inhalation.

Hamas’s military wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, later confirmed the three men were behind the attack on the family.

“Our message to those who harm us, and those who want to harm us, is that whether it takes a day, a week or a month — you can be certain that we will settle accounts with you,” Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after the raid.

The IDF said a Palestinian woman was killed near Hawara after allegedly stabbing a soldier, who sustained minor injuries. The Palestinian health ministry identified her as Iman Odeh.

More than 100 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces so far in 2023, while 18 Israelis have been killed in attacks by Palestinians. One Ukrainian and one Italian have also been killed in Palestinian attacks.
